The Birth of My Genre

Some years ago, I was a journalist and news hound, constantly tuned into headlines, global events, and societal trends. At the same time, I was developing a fascination with ancient texts—like the Bible, Torah, and the Book of Enoch—and the uncanny way some of their writings seemed to echo through modern times.

That curiosity was bolstered the day I shared a spontaneous thought experiment with an acquaintance. He wasn’t particularly religious, nor immersed in world events. I presented him with three current news stories and followed each one with a centuries-old biblical prophecy I believed eerily mirrored it.

After listening, he looked me in the eye and asked: “Is this for real?”

That’s when I knew I had something. Not a theory. A genre.

What began as casual curiosity evolved into a mission to blend two creative worlds: modern drama and mystery, with spiritual undertones from ancient writings. But this wouldn’t be another “end times” fiction series. It would be something new; something that explored deeper questions. What if biblical texts weren’t just religious artifacts but embedded codes, divine blueprints, or forgotten warnings? What if fiction could explore those ideas in thrilling, accessible ways?

Sure, there have been predecessors. The Left Behind series popularized biblical end-times fiction in the late ’90s. And writers like Dan Brown and Steve Berry introduced readers to religious thrillers and theological mysteries. But they are rare and I would be honored to carve out a corner of their world for myself by weaving together stories combining prophecy, conspiracy, sacred texts, and modern science.

So I began to write stories that do just that.

My forthcoming novels explore ancient truths and modern mysteries—from the Torah’s uncanny mathematical structure and its link to quantum computing to the reemergence of the Nephilim. Each story is a bridge between the timeless and the topical, inviting readers into a genre that doesn’t quite have a name yet, though I’ve considered calling it Mystic Testament, TheoFiction, or Divine Thriller.

I write for fans of Dan Brown, Steve Berry, and popular TV shows like Ancient Aliens, The X-Files, and The Twilight Zone where mystery, faith, and danger collide.

This is how my genre was born. I hope it will present a place for readers where sacred texts come alive in modern life and fiction is the translator.
